Pure SILICA POWDER is colour less to white. It is used as a filler for Paint, Rubber Industry, in making ordinary Glass, Ceramics, Construction and  in the preparation of other substances like Silicon carbide.

Extremely fine particle size silica are prepared synthetically and used in paints as flatting and viscosity control agents. It is insoluble in water, slightly soluble in alkalies and soluble in dilute hydrofluoric acid . Because it has a low thermal coefficient of expansion, it withstands sudden changes in temperature and can be used in paints that are subjected to wide ranges of heat.It is the oxide of silicon, chemical formula Si02, and has been known for its hardness.

It is highly abrasive in nature.It's Density is 2.6, Refractive Index- 1.5, Oil Absorption 15-35ml/ 100gm 

Widely used in making Soda. Lime glass, Whiteware ceramics, raw material for Portland cement, Food additive and Printing inks. It is  superior electric insulator, possessing high chemical stability.
